Interesting

It is interesting that no other black legislators have supported this resolution. What most politicians realize is that Michael Jackson remains exremely controversial even among the black community. Changing his looks. Sleeping with kids. Paying off kids that he allegedly engaged in improper acts with. Buying white kids. Being on drugs.
Recently I have read speculation that maybe Michael's white glove, and wig and weight loss and pain and weak heart and insomnia and skin bleaching and sun sensitivity and stints in a wheelchair were all due to a disease, like possibly Lupus (which mainly strikes women). I am not sure if the autopsy will support this. But maybe. Withholding this information might not have been in Jackson's best interests and might have been bad for his image.
However, this hypothesis does not explain the plastic surgery to put a cleft in his chin and to narrow his cheekbones and to reshape his nose. This does not explain Jackson's behavior with children that created such a negative impression. This does not explain the numerous stories about chronic drug use. This does not explain his "purchasing" of 3 white children.
Even if some of Michael's bizarre actions and appearance are partially explained by a disease, there remains enough outrageous unexplained stuff to really make one wonder about Jackson. And to make any politician very very leery about celebrating Michael too openly. Even a black politician.
